Wandmalereien im Shakya Chyodi Kloster
Das Neue Kloster stammt aus dem 18. Jhd. und liegt am nördlichen Ende der Festungsmauer.

Die einheimischen Frauen weben hier oftmals noch ganz traditionell mit ihren alten Webstühlen.

Die beiden älteren Tibeterin genießen Ihr windstilles Plätzchen im Windschatten des Klostergebäudes.

Das alte Stadttor gibt es heute nicht mehr. Dafür ist der Durchgang durch die dicken Festungsmauern schön geschmückt.
Bön-Dorf Lupra
Lupra ist eines der ganz wenigen Bön-Dörfer in Nepal und gleichzeitig eines der ältesten Dörfer.

Neben den Häusern von vierzehn Familien gibt es gleich zwei Bön-Kloster, die zum Dorf gehören.

Marpha liegt auf der westlichen Seite des Kali Gandaki-Tales nur wenige Kilomter entfernt von Jomosom.

Ganz exponiert über dem Ort liegt das Nyingma Kloster Tashi Lakhang Gompa.

Die meisten Häuser in Marpha sind im tibetischen Stil erbaut mit den typischen Holzbündeln auf dem Dach.

Gesäumt von gepflegten und hübschen Häusern ist es schön durch die engen Gassen von Marpha zu spazieren.

Viel Alltagsleben spielt sich hier auch heute noch in den Gassen vor dem Haus ab.

Syang Kloster
Das Syang Kloster ist auch bekannt unter dem Namen Tashi La Khanga und gehört dem Nyingma-Orden an.
